Happy New Year, so long 2009

It’s December 31st, 2009. New Years Eve. Unlike the past couple years, Jenn and I are sitting at home. It’s kinda nice. We’re going to watch the ball drop on TV then celebrate her birthday tomorrow with her parents.
Why are we staying in? Because Jenn’s got a gigantic pregnant belly since she’s due to give birth in the next six and a half weeks. It’s not exactly comfortable to be in a smokey, new years party like that. Plus a quiet night is nice since life has been so hectic. But enough about What we’re doing right now.

2009 was a good year. I did have to deal with the obstacle of being transferred to Battle Creek in the beginning of this year. But with good friends letting me crash at their place until I was able to find my own place to rent in Lansing. The landlord’s a cool guy, he let me improve the bathroom and took the money spent off the rent. Man was it bad before. I think the previous tenant used it as his ash tray. So some spit and polish and deodorizer and it’s very livable.
Spring came and passed, the summer came. I worked a lot, Jenn finished classes at Bayshire in April. Only a few days ago she took her practical cosmetology exam and passed. Now she has to take her written exam, but she’ll do great.
On August 8th, Jenn and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary of meeting by getting married. Most of you all reading this were there. After the wedding we went up thru Ludington, then to Traverse City. All that stuff happened after we already started this blog. So if you truly want to recall the events, just go back into the older posts.

What’s in store for 2010? Well number one thing is our little bun in the oven, due to grace this world on February 13th, or at least somewhere around there. I am hoping for some other major changes for the benefit of many in 2010, but I don’t want to jinx anything by saying them aloud. ;)

So until Next Year, from 2009, in Peace and Love,
Seth and Jennifer Houston
