So tis the Season, Happy Christmahonnukakwazika! Yes, our brand of the Houston clan is celebrating the season. It’s no secret that I am not always the most joyous this time of year. Maybe I have seasonal affective disorder, or maybe I just get over burdened with stress at work plus stress from shopping plus having to share the roads with idiots that forgot how to drive in winter weather.

2009 Tree of little things hung on it
I’m getting better though. I was off today from work, so we finished up our holiday gift shopping, we celebrate Christmas Eve with Jenn’s parents and brother. Christmas morning we get to spend the time with my parents and Aunt, and maybe my sister.
Saturday I am back to making glasses, and the rush of people running in to use their vision insurance before their plans change on the new year. Also the rush of people trying to use up their flex spending before the new year. And oh yeah, the people cashing in the gift cards they got for Christmas! This is typically the busiest week of the year for opticians, so here’s hoping I make my sales plan.
While I’m at work, Jenn’s going over to her grandparents’ for their celebration with her parents.
Then thanks to my really cool employee, I am off work on Sunday, so Jenn and I can Join my Brother, his wife, and their troop of five children for another mass gift session.
For all those friends that I didn’t have the chance to see for the holidays, We miss you all. Maybe next year I’ll have more free time to be jolly, so here’s hoping we win the Lotto so that happens
We’ll also have Little Sammy to show around.
Merry Frickin Christmas!
(By the way, my sour puss is no representation of Jenn. She’s a happy Holiday Helper.)
Merry Christmas you two! Have a great one.
